Woho people, I’m Anni and I can’t wait exploring the beauties of Canada with you! I’m from Stuttgart, Germany where I used to spend most of my time outdoors sleeping with my hammock in the woods. I enjoy being active, especially hiking, dancing and camping outdoors! What I love about hiking and camping specifically is that it lets you see, feel, smell and hear the earth from a whole different point of view – unmasked and pure – with all its different plants, wildlife and electromagnetic variations. I´ve been living in Alberta and Beautiful British Columbia and I´d love to show you all my favorite places and share the stories about Canadian people, culture and nature. Returning to Timberwolf Tours I‘m super excited to explore the amazing landscapes of Western Canada together with you this season. Also, I’m looking forward to have some nice conversations around the fire and hear about your stories. See you soon! Ich bin gerne aktiv, vor allem Wandern, Tanzen und Camping im Freien! Was ich besonders am Wandern und Campen liebe, ist, dass man die Erde aus einer ganz anderen Perspektive sehen, fühlen, riechen und hören kann – unmaskiert und rein – mit all ihren verschiedenen Pflanzen, Wildtieren und elektromagnetischen Variationen. Ich habe in Alberta und im wunderschönen British Columbia gelebt und würde Ihnen gerne all meine Lieblingsorte zeigen und die Geschichten über die kanadische Bevölkerung, Kultur und Natur teilen. Hi there! I’m Wolfram, born and raised in Bochum, Germany. Back then, I always enjoyed going to Switzerland and Austria for hiking and skiing. After moving to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada in 2007, I spend as much time as possible skiing and hiking. I’m the father of two beautiful girls which I take to countless camping and hiking trips all over Alberta, BC and the Western United States. Over the years I was able to share the beauty of our nature with lots of visitors leading trips. I’m very exited to show you the pure beauty and breathtaking nature of Western Canada. See you around the campfire!!! Hi! Ich bin Wolfram, geboren und aufgewachsen in Bochum im Ruhrgebeit. Damals bin ich immer gerne richtung Schweiz und Österreich gefahren zum Wandern und Skifahren. Nachdem ich 2007 nach Edmonton, Alberta, Kanada gezogen bin, verbringe ich so viel Zeit wie möglich mit Skifahren und Wandern. Ich bin Vater von zwei wunderschönen Mädchen und als Familie haben wir unzähligen Camping- und Wanderausflügen durch Alberta, BC und der Westen der US gemacht. Hey there, I’m Philipp, and I’m from Italy – to be more precise, from South Tyrol. Back home in the Alps, mountaineering, hiking, and ski touring are among my favorite activities. My love of outdoor activities has already led me to various adventures in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and the Andes of Bolivia. But now it’s time to create new, unforgettable memories together in the Rocky Mountains and enjoy the wild, diverse nature of Canada. Hallo ich bin Philipp und komme aus Italien, um etwas genauer zu sein aus Südtirol. Zurück in meiner Heimat den Alpen gehört das Bergsteigen, Wandern und Skitouren zu meinen liebsten Beschäftigungen. Meine Vorliebe von Outdoor Aktivitäten ließ mich bereits verschiedene Abenteuer im Atlas Gebirge von Marokko und den Anden von Bolivien erleben. Jetzt aber ist es an der Zeit in den Rocky-Mountains gemeinsam neue, unvergessliche Erinnerungen zu schaffen und die wilde, vielfältige Natur von Kanada zu genießen.

Hey there, folks! Born and raised just outside the beautiful city of Hamburg, Germany, I’ve always felt most alive when I’m outdoors – whether it’s camping with family or friends, hiking through the fjords of Norway, the Alps, or the rugged forests and mountains of Canada, whitewater kayaking in the Harz and Austria, or out paddling on wild canoe adventures with my friends. I live by the motto: “Travel as much as you can, as long as you can. Life’s not meant to be lived in one place.” After graduating high school, I spent a year living, working and traveling in Canada – and well, what can I say? My heart never really left. Ever since, I keep finding my way back to the Rockies, Vancouver Island, and the Athabasca River – on foot or in a canoe. The untouched wilderness, the vast open landscapes, the wildlife, the lakes and mountains – it still takes my breath away every time. I and Timber (our cheerful mascot you can spot in the photo) can’t wait to share the beauty of Western Canada with You. Whether we’re sleeping under the stars in a tent or staying comfy in a hotel – adventure is guaranteed, eh! When I’m not out exploring or building a campfire, I’m studying Sports and Political Science in Göttingen, Germany. But to be honest – my favourite classroom has trees instead of chalkboards. Seit ich denken kann, liebe ich es, draußen unterwegs zu sein und die Welt zu bereisen – sei es beim Campen mit der Familie oder mit Freunden, beim Wandern entlang der Fjorde Norwegens, durch die Alpen oder durch die Wälder und Berge Kanadas, beim Wildwasserkajakfahren im Harz und in Österreich oder bei abenteuerlichen Kanutouren mit Freunden. Ich lebe nach dem Motto: „Travel as much as you can, as long as you can. Life’s not meant to be lived in one place.“ Nach dem Abitur ging’s für ein Jahr nach Kanada – und na ja, was soll ich sagen? Ich bin geblieben. Zumindest im Herzen. Seitdem zieht es mich immer wieder zurück in die Rockies, auf Vancouver Island oder auf den Athabasca River – egal ob zu Fuß oder mit dem Kanu. Die unberührte Natur, die Weite, die Tierwelt, die Berge und Seen – all das begeistert mich jedes Mal aufs Neue. Ich kann es kaum erwarten mit Timber (Maskottchen auf dem Foto), Ihnen die vielfältige Landschaft Westkanadas zu zeigen. Ob unter dem Sternenhimmel im Zelt oder ganz gemütlich im Hotel – das Abenteuer ist garantiert! Wenn ich nicht gerade draußen unterwegs bin oder ein Lagerfeuer entzünde, studiere ich Sport- und Politikwissenschaften in Göttingen – aber in den Semesterferien zieht es mich seither immer wieder zurück nach Kanada. Denn seien wir ehrlich: Mein Lieblingsseminarraum hat eher Tannen statt Tafeln. Also: Wanderschuhe geschnürt, Paddel bereit – das Abenteuer wartet schon! Bis bald in Kanada!

Hello, my name is Rebecca and I am a Canadian from Toronto, Ontario. I’m back in Canada after spending a year working in France and eating my way through every different type of cheese. I love travelling and have had the opportunity to discover French-Canadian culture in Quebec City, learn to ski on the breath-taking slopes of Whistler, see salmon spawning on Vancouver Island, navigate the market places in Mozambique and backpack South America. I went on my first canoe trip when I was seventeen and fell in love. Canoeing and camping let you experience nature and challenge yourself in a way that will impact you forever. I always enjoy spending time in nature with my family and skiing in the Italian and Austrian Alps and also joined a summer hiking camp for 3 weeks in the Italian Alps a couple times. I like to explore new paths and discover the real beauty our world has to offer. I am very exited to create incredible adventures and make unforgettable memories with you together this season. Hello there, My name is Luca, I come from the area of Freiburg im Breisgau in the south of the beautiful Black Forest. When you live in the the Black Forest, it’s impossible to grow up without being surrounded by nature. I have always wanted to come to Canada and travel through the beautiful nature of the Rocky Mountains and the West. Together with my girlfriend Emma, I fulfilled this wish after graduating from high school and I’m looking forward to living my dream with you. Since I was a little boy, I loved going into the woods, breathing the fresh air, whittling sticks and going on a hiking trip and camping with my dad. I feel most at home when I’m on my bike, riding through the Black Forest or along the Rhine. As a teenager, I set off on a trip and cycled 500 km through Germany with my father and uncle. I always keep the love of nature in my heart and I look forward to my experiences in the Rockies with you. So lace up your hiking boots, prepare your provisions, apply sunscreen and don’t forget: have fun! I look forward to seeing you there! Wenn man mitten im Schwarzwald wohnt, ist es eigentlich unmöglich ohne die Natur aufzuwachsen. So hatte ich auch schon immer den Wunsch einmal nach Kanada zu kommen und die schöne Natur der Rocky Mountains und dem Westen zu bereisen. Diesen Wunsch habe ich mir, gemeinsam mit meiner Freundin Emma, nach meinem Abitur erfüllt und freue mich darauf, mit euch meinen Wunsch zu leben. Schon als kleiner Junge habe ich es geliebt, in den Wald zu gehen, die frische Luft zu atmen, Stöcke zu schnitzen und mit einem Vater zusammen eine Wandertour zu machen und anschließend zu campen. Am wohlsten fühle ich mich, wenn ich auf meinem Fahrrad sitze und durch den Schwarzwald oder am Rhein entlang fahre. So habe ich schon in Teenagerjahren eine Reise angetreten und bin zusammen mit meinem Vater und meinem Onkel 500km mit dem Fahrrad durch Deutschland gefahren. Diese Liebe zur Natur habe ich bis heute und freue mich auf die Erlebnisse in den Rockys mit euch. Also Wanderschuhe schnüren, Proviant richten, Sonnencreme auftragen und nicht vergessen: Spaß haben! Hey there! I’m excited to show you around the Rocky Mountains—and my second home, Vancouver Island—this summer! I was born in Bonn, Germany, but when I was eleven, my family packed up and moved to the Island. I went to school there and spent summers around Timberwolf Tours—at first cleaning vans and gear, then tagging along on trips, soaking up the stories and wild places until I knew I had to become a guide myself. Since then, I’ve chased adventure across a bunch of landscapes—guiding bike tours on cruise ships, teaching snowboarding and paragliding in the Austrian Alps, and more recently, working as a wakeboard instructor at a cable park in Germany. Now I’m back in Canada, ready to hike, paddle, and explore with you. Let’s make this summer unforgettable! Hey! Ich freue mich riesig, euch diesen Sommer durch die Rocky Mountains und mein zweites Zuhause, Vancouver Island, zu führen! Geboren wurde ich in Bonn, aber als ich elf war, ist meine Familie nach Vancouver Island gezogen. Dort bin ich zur Schule gegangen und habe meine Sommer bei Timberwolf Tours verbracht—anfangs beim Vans putzen und Ausrüstung sortieren. Hi there! Being a third generation Timberwolf, it’s safe to say that guiding in western Canada has been engraved in my dna. From the age of five, I have been joining groups on multi day canoeing and camping trips, through countless cozy nights around campfires and calm morning strokes through the water I have found my passion, guiding in my backyard. Leading trips here brings me warmth in my heart, as an Indigenous person these lands we are traveling on today is the place that my ancestors called home for tens of thousands of years. I love sharing with YOU the stories and culture of Canada’s rich first nations history in the development of Canada and our influence on the world today. I have lived my entire life here in Alberta, safe to say I am a “Alberta Boy” but I am lucky enough to have traveled to all the nooks and crannies across Western Canada as well as many parts of the world; including Asia, Europe and Central America and hopefully the list doesn’t just end there. Spending a trip with me, comes with lots of laughs, adventures and my dedication to making our tour together a trip of a lifetime, looking forward to our adventure! Cheers. Guten Tag! Nachdem ich den Erste Hilfe und einen Kanu Kurs bestanden hatte, arbeitete ich als Helfer für Guides bei Touren in den Rocky Mountains und auf der Athabasca River. Jetzt endlich also mit Erfahrung und der Spannung meine eigenen Gruppen zu leiten, freue ich mich auf den Sommer mit Team Timberwolf. Bei meinen Reisen alleine durch Europa und Asien sowie durch Alberta und British Columbia lernte ich was Reisende gerne erleben möchten und wie man eine super Tour präsentiert. While I have been born in Hannover, my deep connection with nature was nurtured on my grandmother’s old farm, located near the city. From an early age, I found joy in being outdoors. For my Bachelor’s studies, I moved to the enchanting city of Freiburg im Breisgau, located in the southern part of Germany. Surrounded by multiple mountains and rivers, my passion for hiking in nature’s embrace grew even more. Before continuing on my master’s degree in this city, a desire to experience the wonders of Canada grew in me. The reason was a gift from my father. A captivating book about Canada, its natural beauty, teeming wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. As soon as I laid eyes on its pages, I knew that I had to see this country firsthand. Prior to accepting the role of a tour guide, I had the opportunity to venture through British Columbia and Alberta, on my own. I explored the Rocky Mountains and can now confidently confirm that these landscapes are even more beautiful than captured in any photograph. Now, as your trusted guide, I am ecstatic to share my experiences and knowledge with you. I really recommend exploring this remarkable region, where every step taken will unfold a new and unforgettable chapter in your active vacation. Ein fesselndes Buch über Kanada, seine natürliche Schönheit, die reiche Tierwelt und die atemberaubenden Landschaften. Sobald ich die Seiten sah, wusste ich, dass ich dieses Land aus erster Hand sehen musste. Bevor ich die Rolle eines Reiseleiters annahm, hatte ich die Möglichkeit, auf eigene Faust durch British Columbia und Alberta zu reisen. Ich habe die Rocky Mountains selber erkundet und kann nun mit Gewissheit bestätigen, dass diese Landschaften noch schöner sind als auf jedem Foto festgehalten. Jetzt, als Ihr vertrauenswürdiger Guide, freue ich mich, meine Erfahrungen und mein Wissen mit Ihnen zu teilen. G’day! My name is Eva, and I am an Australian who has fallen in love with Canada. I have been in Canada for almost 2 years, exploring the west, hiking, canoeing, horse riding, skiing and a bunch of other crazy adventures. The Canadian Rockies, Alberta and BC have so much to offer whether it’s the tiniest of plants, to the tallest trees, mountains, animals and all sorts of things. I absolutely love traveling and exploring the world, so I can’t wait until I get to share my Canadian experience with you!

Hello hello I am Emma and I come from a small village near Freiburg in the beautiful Black Forest. And I also like to be active, I play handball and table tennis in my free time. Together with my boyfriend Luca, I am doing a road trip through Canada since March, I am enthusiastic about the impressive landscapes every day. So we could already see the most beautiful places of western Canada, Vancouver Island and the Rockies. I am very much looking forward to discovering these places together with you and experiencing unforgettable adventures! Meine Leidenschaft für die Natur begann schon früh – mit sechs Jahren stand ich das erste Mal auf Skiern und seitdem zieht es mich immer wieder in die Berge und in die Wildnis. Ob beim Wandern in den Alpen, Kanufahren auf Bergseen oder beim Carven im Tiefschnee – ich fühle mich draußen in derNatur am wohlsten. Dementsprechend gehört auch Camping zu meinen Lieblingshobbys. Reisen und das Entdecken neuer Landschaften waren schon immer ein wichtiger Teil meines Lebens. Meine Abenteuer haben mich von Europa nach Australien und jetzt nach Kanada geführt, wo ich die atemberaubende Natur erkunden und meine Begeisterung mit anderen teilen möchte. Auf meinem Weg habe ich wertvolle Erfahrungen in der Gastronomie und im Kundenservice gesammelt und weiß, wie wichtig es ist, Gästen ein unvergessliches Erlebnis zu bieten. Ich liebe es, mit Menschen zu arbeiten, eine gute Atmosphäre zu schaffen und für Sicherheit und Spaß zu sorgen. Hi everyone! I’m Leon, 24 years old, from Mannheim, Germany. After finishing school, I set out to explore the world—hiking over 3,000 kilometers through New Zealand and cycling across parts of Africa and Asia. I also served for two years with the 231st Mountain Infantry Battalion in Berchtesgaden, where I learned a lot about mountain life and outdoor leadership. I’m now studying geography in Heidelberg and super excited for the upcoming season here in the Rocky Mountains. I can’t wait to share Canada’s stunning nature with you—along with some fun insights into how these incredible landscapes were formed! Hallo zusammen! I am half Portuguese and half Czech, so my youth was spent growing up surrounded by food, dance, culture, and history! While learning about my own cultural background, I also developed an interest in Canadian history, including the First Nations, Metis and Inuit people who live here. Learning outside in nature is my favorite classroom, so even though I am a city girl I’ve spent a few years developing my skills while traveling and living across Western Canada. I can’t promise that I can hike as fast as you, but I do know enough interesting facts about nature, wildlife, and history that you won’t want to leave me behind! I also have 10+ years of experience in hospitality, so I’m here to make sure you stay safe, have everything you need, and most importantly, have fun! Hey there! I’m Michael, 35, originally from Munich in Germany, and soon kicking off my next big adventure. By profession, I’m a physiotherapist – but let’s be honest, my heart belongs to the wild. Hiking, mountaineering, skiing, scuba diving, surfing – if it’s outdoors and gets the adrenaline going, I’m in. I spent 16 months traveling the world and collecting stories: from trekking to Machu Picchu and standing on a 6000-meter peak, to wandering through Patagonia and falling in love with New Zealand and Nepal. Oh, and I once hiked across the Alps just for fun (and the views, of course). I’m always up for a laugh, love meeting people from different cultures – and fun fact: I once lassoed a cow in Patagonia. Don’t ask me how, but it happened. Now I’m beyond excited to explore the Canadian wilderness and share some unforgettable outdoor moments with awesome people like you! Hey!
